Wedding of Yuvraj of Kurundwad Jr.

Yuvraj of Kurundwad Jr. Shrimant Ganpatrao Hariharrao alias Babasaheb Patwardhan, got married to Ms. Manasi (now Yuvradhni Shrimant Sou. Manasiraje) daughter of Mr. Shrish and Renu Sharma in a lavish ceremony, which took place on 2nd of Sept 2010 in Pune.

Sad demise of the last Rajasaheb of Kurundwad Jr.

The last ruler of erstwhile Indian princely state of Kurundwad Jr. Honorary Major H.H. Raja Raghunathrao Dadasaheb Patwardhan, ADC to the 1st President of India, recepient of the Independence Medal, passed away due to old age on 19th Feb 2007. He was given ceremonial army funeral by Maratha Light Infrantry. The various dignitaries and members of the royal families who attended the funeral were,

Wedding of Princess of Kurundwad Jr

The wedding of Princess Revatiraje, daughter of Raja Hariharrao Raghunathrao Patwardhan and Rani Shrimant Ramadevi Patwardhan, to Shrimant Satyajeet Nayak, son of Shri, Prakashrao Nayak and Shrimati Ujwala P. Nayak took place in the grand ceremony in the Madhavpur palace ground on 29th Nov 2008.
Many erstwhile princess, politicians, Government officers attended the wedding. The Maratha Light Infrantry Regiment band played beautiful music to mark this occasion.

Maharani Sharmisthadevi Holkar during her conversion

Maharani Sharmisthadevi Holkar, wife of Maharaja Sir Tukojirao Holkar during her conversion on 8 March 1926.
(To become hindu and Dhangar (caste of Maharajas of Holkar) The first ceremonies admitted her to Sir Tukoji's caste, and made her the adopted daughter of his distant relative, the Princess Tara-bai. With her social status thus assured, she became by a second adoption the daughter of a Court functionary, Colonel Lam Bhate, whose duty it became to give her in marriage.)
